Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (Hindi: हम हैं राही प्यार के translation: We Are Travelers on the Path of Love) is a 1993 Indian comedy-drama film directed by Mahesh Bhatt, produced by Tahir Hussain and with a musical score by Nadeem-Shravan. It stars Juhi Chawla and Aamir Khan. It is a remake of Hollywood's Houseboat (1958), starring Cary Grant and Sophia Loren. The film fetched the Filmfare Best Actress Award for Juhi Chawla, and director Mahesh Bhatt won the 1994 National Film Award - Special Jury Award. Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke also won the Filmfare Best Film Award. It was generally alleged at the time that the movie was ghost-directed by Aamir Khan because Mahesh Bhatt did not show up on the sets several times. It was a success at the box office.
